To the Records Custodian,

Under the California Public Records Act (Gov. Code § 7920.000 et seq.), I request copies of the following records concerning automated license plate recognition (ALPR) systems, including but not limited to systems supplied by Flock Safety, Motorola Solutions/Vigilant, Axon, or Rekor:

1. All contracts, purchase orders, invoices, quotes, and renewal notices from January 1, [YEAR] to the present.
2. The current written policy governing use of the system, including retention periods, permitted search purposes, and required justifications.
3. A list of all agencies, departments, or third parties with access to data collected by the agency's cameras, and any memoranda of understanding or data-sharing agreements with them.
4. The total number of searches performed in the last twelve months, and any audit reports, audit logs, or misuse investigations concerning the system.
5. The number and locations of all cameras currently deployed.
6. Any communications with the vendor concerning free trials, pilot programs, or grant funding.
7. The agency's ALPR usage and privacy policy required by Civil Code § 1798.90.5 et seq. (SB 34), and any records of the annual review of that policy.
8. All records of searches performed for, or at the request of, any federal agency or any agency outside California, and any determination made regarding compliance with Civil Code § 1798.90.55(b).

I request these records in electronic format. If any portion is withheld, please cite the specific exemption claimed and release all segregable portions. If fees will exceed [$50], please contact me before proceeding.
